“Young people between art and science in the name of freedom”, conference at Palazzo Zanca Eventi in Messina

“Young people between art and science in the name of freedom” is the title of the conference that will take place on Monday, November 12, at 10 am, in the Salone delle Bandiere in Palazzo Zanca.

The event organized by Dr. Sabina Scaravaggi, Regional Delegate for Sicily and National Member of ENAC, National Authority for Cultural Activities, Authority for Social Promotion, participating in the implementation of projects in the cultural, sports and social fields aimed at promoting human and Italian culture and traditions, with the aim of bringing young people closer to art and science by providing some Useful tools to stimulate their interest.

The conference begins from the consideration that art and science, two seemingly separate cultures, are in fact intertwined by a single culture, the human culture. Scientific and human culture intertwine and influence each other, contributing to the growth of society. From Dante to Galileo, from Michelangelo to Leonardo, from Descartes to Goethe, none of the great figures of world culture raised the issue of the difference between the two cultures, and none imposed limits on their creativity. This is the humus in which distinguished guest speakers will wander: Professor Giulio Taro, Scientist, Virologist, Nobel Prize nominee with “Youth: A Generation in Covid Limbo”, Dr. Pira Levi-Montalcini, President of the Levi-Montalcini Society with “Art and Science In the Levi-Montalcini Family” and international artist Josie D’Arrigo with “Sense of Art”.

De Beaumont Bonelli Onlus Foundation for Cancer Research, Levi-Montalcini Association, IIS Antonello Messina, Lions International, Kiwanis International, Rotary International, Fidapa BPW Italia, and Federiciana Università Popolare, which will issue credits to participating students.
