The Campo da Bolfora subway station, in Salvador, will host an exhibition from Thursday (4) until November 3. Photographer André François presents the Ubuntu project, whose screening is part of a photographic documentary that seeks to raise awareness of the importance of health and quality of life through care and communication between different cultures around the world.

Created by the photographer, in partnership with journalist Paola Polito, the exhibition presents images that reflect human relationships in different cultures around the world. What unites the entire project is the African philosophy of Ubuntu, which brings the concept of humanity, belonging and community. Ubuntu means: “A person is a person through other people”. You are who you are because of the relationship you have with others around you. Or simply: I am because we are.
