Pezzolano was instrumental in winning the B Series for Cruzeiro
Cruzeiro’s main player in winning the Brazilian Championship’s Second Division, coach Paulo Pezulano is already planning for next season. The Uruguayan admitted that the heavenly club will face many difficulties in the first division and asked the fans to understand the new reality.
“Thank you very much for this year, and next year we know it will be a very difficult year for Cruzeiro. And I ask that the fans understand, as they did this year. You have to work harder, we can get more negative results,” he said.
Pezulano also spoke about the importance of ending Cruzeiro to win the championship. For him, the result was key to crowning the good work done by the players and giving the fans the gift of their unconditional support.
“The players and the fans deserved to win at the end, to finish the tournament because they deserved everything they did on a daily basis. Today was a special day for the way we won, in the last five minutes. It was so happy for everyone’s family. Who were here fighting for the title.”
Planning for next season should begin on Monday (7/11). There will be many changes in the team and only a few players from the current team will remain at Toca da Raposa for 2023.
