Therefore, the parents launched an attack, asking to dismiss the teacher because she has a “shiny” body.
On Instagram, the teacher who identifies herself as “Toyboxdollz” often posts about raising kids, and also about the importance of having a positive, receptive body image. Already on YouTube, she, being a mother of a girl, said that girls need to feel comfortable in their appearance.
Despite this, the parents reportedly sent a letter to the authorities asking them to take her out of her job, claiming that her photo was “distracting” the children.
However, labor laws in New Jersey, where she works, state that it is illegal to fire her from work because of her physical appearance. As a result, the school has not even considered accepting requests from some parents, according to Infobae.
Another point that sparked controversy was her exposure on social media. Some parents saw her online behavior as interfering with her job as a teacher.
With the repercussions of the case, her popularity on the networks has been increasing recently, adding 200,000 new followers in just the past two months.
