How to delete multiple emails in gmail

Although having an email address is very common, few people use email very often. So it’s not surprising to find that many people leave their inbox full of messages: some never read; others, which go directly to the spam or junk mail tabs. Therefore, we decided to separate a very simple tutorial to explain how to delete emails from different folders on the Gmail platform.

Note that emails deleted in this way only belong in the main inbox, so it’s interesting to click on the other tabs, such as Social and Promotions, and repeat the tutorial on each one.

How to delete email from same sender in gmail

1. Click on the search bar, type the “From:” command and the desired email address. For example: “from: [email protected]” and click the “Enter” button. Next, Gmail will filter all messages sent by that email address, so check the box and then click the trash can icon. However, if the goal is to select messages only I already read From this same sender, so in addition to the “from” command, you should also add “label: read” (without the quotes).

How to delete promotional emails (and other tabs)

1. Click on the “Promotions” tab, then check the little box and click on the trash can icon. If you have more than 50 emails, after checking the box, click the “Select all conversations” button and then click the trash can icon.

How to recover deleted emails

1. Still on the home page, click the Trash button in the email sidebar. Next, check the box and click on the folder icon to choose the tab you want to send the email to;
2. Select the desired folder and that’s it: the email will automatically be sent to the chosen folder and, accordingly, restored.
