An AM student qualifies for the final stage in the Ministry of Science and Technology competition | Amazon 1

Manaus (AM) – Student Eloíze Bais, from the full-time Altair Severiano Nunes State School (EETI), in the South Central District of Manaus, has had her design selected in the “drawing competition” for the selection of the visual identity of the National Science and Technology Week (SNCT 2023), which is scheduled to take place in the period From October (14) to (20), 2023. Highlighting the arts from all over Brazil, Eloíze Design competes among the ten finalists selected by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and can be the winner of the dispute, by popular vote.

Anyone can vote for the design that represents the largest science popularization event in the country. Student Eloíze Bais’ drawing is a “B”. The voting period continues until July 16, via the link https://forms.gle/f9dr8ygVYH3W7XZt7. The result will be announced on July 20.

The student, who has been drawing since she was six years old, explained that she was initially nervous during the production of the work, but now hopes to be chosen as the creator of the SNCT 2023 logo.

“At first, I had a little difficulty creating my art. I would like to depict the use of clean energy, I tried my best to convey this idea in my graphics, and now, I am very happy that I was one of the chosen people and have the possibility to be the official art creator of Science and Technology Week,” Eloise said.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Basic Science for Sustainable Development”. The initiative is being promoted by MCTI and seeks to select and reward a design that will be used as the basis for creating the visual identity for SNCT 2023.

The director of the educational unit, Lana Albuquerque, said that standing out in competitions of this magnitude encourages students to dedicate themselves more to their skills.

“When we offer students the possibility to participate in national competitions, we encourage them to broaden their knowledge and, in so doing, have the possibility to learn from other students in Brazil, as well as improve their learning and enhance their aspirations in life.”– explained the manager.

The winning student will win a trip to Brasilia, along with a companion, during the National Science and Technology Week to participate in the opening ceremony of the event. The ten finalist drawings will participate in an exhibition in the exhibition on the SNCT 2023 website (https://semanact.mcti.gov.br/).
