Aldo Bona highlighted the work developed by UEL students and professors during the exhibition, through the Via Rural pavilions and in lectures and art events. “This is why we make sure to come here every year,” he highlighted, adding that it is a way to highlight the production of the science and technology system that is associated with agribusiness.

For the secretary, the gallery provides opportunities for interaction between the university and the community. The Minister stressed that the Paraná Government, through Seti, implements Agencies for Sustainable Development and Innovation (Ageuni) in all seven universities of the state. For Dean, Marta Favaro, UEL’s participation in ExpoLondrina strengthens the institution as a reference in the development of teaching projects. It also brings professors and students closer to society, and shows the various services and programs that have been developed in all fields of knowledge. “It is important to remember that every project reflects a journey. These are years of dedication from teachers and students,” he said.

For the President of SRP, Marcelo Kadri, the participation of representatives from SETI and UEL at the fair demonstrates the importance that agribusiness attaches to the development of science and technology. According to him, in 30 years, Brazil has increased its cultivated area by 103%, and expanded grain production by 400%. Al-Qadri believes that this development is supported by technological development, which made this increase in production possible. He also indicated that the university’s participation in Smart Agro It brings innovations that can be brought into small holdings, supporting family farmers, adding value to production and preventing rural exodus.
