Zavallon presents City Council events in the field of science and technology at Gramado Summit

Mayor Luiz Zavallon, on Wednesday morning (12/4), presented the work done by Gravataí in the areas of science, technology and innovation at the Gramado Summit, considered “the biggest brainstorm (storm of ideas) in Latin America”. Zaffeh highlighted projects to accelerate local companies and the importance of innovation to qualify public administration.

Speaking on the “Innovation for the Public Sector” stage, Zava explained in detail the work carried out by the Secretariat for Innovation, Science and Technology of Gravataí (Smict): “Rehabilitating structures and reducing bureaucracy is the only path to development. Since the establishment of the General Secretariat we have started to identify new talents And evaluate them. How can we do it? Promote innovation and entrepreneurship, this is how we work and turn Gravataí into a national reference in this field.

The session was attended by CEO of Wise Innovation and Smict Consultant Paolo Renato Ardeneghi. Gramado’s Secretary for Innovations and Corporate Relations, Ike Koetz; Lajeado’s Director of Innovation Mariella Bortz; and Gramado Mayor Nestor Teso.

“We started with 20 startups and will soon create Casa das Startups in Prado, a large, modern real estate development that will soon house our technology center. This is the role of the overall structure, to be the driving force behind development. We are aware of our commitment and this is how we make Gravataí the best city in state to live in,” the mayor added.

The Gramado Summit is a true immersion in the innovation ecosystem. There are seven stages of simultaneous content, with over 200 speakers. In addition to the content areas, the event features one of the best trade fairs in the country, with more than 500 exhibitors and hundreds of investors.

At the 2022 edition of the event, Gravatai was present with five startups. This year there are 20 participants, all participating in the Startup Gravataí programme, by Smict, representing a stronger presence and confirming the government’s investment in the area within the municipality.
