Bhutan turns amazing and knocks out Adesanya at UFC 281 to win the middleweight belt

The Nigerian outscored the Brazilian by four rounds, but could not stand the heavy hand of Bhutan

In one of the most anticipated battles in UFC 281 this Saturday, on one of the world’s largest sports and entertainment stages: Madison Square Garden, Alex Boatan beat Israel Adesanya She won the organization’s middleweight belt.

Adesanya had a better of four rounds, but felt the Brazilian’s blows in the fifth round and lost, seeing the end of his reign in the class.

The first round was wary of two fighters who abused kicks in the other. In the last second of the round, Adesanya hit Powatan with a cross pass from the right that left the Brazilian confused, and he saved himself with a bell.

In the second round, the balance reigned again, but the Brazilian may have benefited by getting a takedown in the last seconds.

Adesanya was once again well ahead in the third round, taking control of the ground by pushing the Brazilian into the ground, where it’s not his own.

In the last two rounds, Butaan was clearly more tired than Adesanya. But he fired a series of punches that left the Nigerian confused in the octagon and the match was stopped by a TKO in the fifth round.

With this result, Adesanya now has a 23-win streak as the middleweight stalled in MMA.

The Nigerian avoids Anderson Silva’s record-breaking hiatus with 11 consecutive UFC middleweight wins.
