Treatment of autoimmune diseases (pemphigus vulgaris)

Treatment of autoimmune diseases (pemphigus vulgaris)

I’m Larissa, and I’m making this donation with the goal of sending my aunt to a clinic to treat the rare, serious autoimmune disease, pemphigus vulgaris.

“Pemphigus vulgaris It is a rare and serious autoimmune disease in which blisters of various sizes appear on the skin, lining of the mouth, and other mucous membranes.. Pemphigus vulgaris occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks proteins in the superficial layers of the skin.

This is the second time she has had this condition, the last time was 5 years ago, the first time she spent more than 6 months being treated by all kinds of doctors and specialists, using different types of corticosteroids that each time weakened her more. It did not stop the disease. As a last option, we took her to a clinic in Minas Gerais, in Serra do Cebu, and within 15 days of treatment she was able to get rid of the disease.

About 20 days ago the condition returned, this time much faster than the first, we carry out all kinds of treatments at home, without great results, her skin became raw, in addition to burning and severe pain. We need to get her back to the clinic for treatment before the condition gets too bad to be reversed.

The cost for 21 days is R$6,160 plus travel costs there, which will average R$8,000.00.

All help is very welcome, as we need to get it as quickly as possible, and the family does not currently have that amount.

May God bless you and provide all the assistance.
