The event was attended not only by the President of Petrobras and representatives of its Board of Directors, but also by Federal Representative Glysee Hoffman, Federal Representatives Zika Dirceu, Teão Medeiros and Geraldo Mendez, as well as other political leaders at the state and federal levels, as well as representatives. unions.

According to Jean-Paul Prats, the fertilizer sector plays a strategic role for both Petrobras and Brazil as a whole: “Brazil is a prominent producer of agricultural commodities, however, it is dependent on imported fertilizers. This sector faces significant global challenges. Petrobras is a company interested in revitalizing Ansa due to its affinity with REPAR In addition to reducing our dependence on imports, this process will contribute to creating job opportunities and increasing income.”

Ansa has the capacity to process approximately 1,900 tons per day of urea and 1,300 tons per day of ammonia used in agricultural fertilizer production and other applications. The raw material used in the unit is asphalt residue, which is available at the Presidente Getúlio Vargas Refinery (REPAR), also located in Araucária (PR).

William Fransa, Director of Industrial Operations and Products at Petrobras, noted that the decision to resume studies to reactivate ANSA represented an important step: “Our decisions are based on rigorous analyzes of technical and financial feasibility. It was deactivated, and surrounding communities faced unemployment due to a lack of regional opportunities. Through Investing in the resumption of production at ANSA, we show Petrobras’ ability to supply products of strategic importance to the country, ensuring complete operational and environmental safety, and also contributing to local development.

During the visit, President Jean-Paul Pratis reaffirmed Petrobras’ commitment to Paraná through Ripar. REPAR stands out for its innovation and expertise, contributing 14% of Petrobras’ total sales and being the company’s second largest billing center. With a production mix that includes 49% diesel and 27% petrol, REPAR converts approximately 80% of its processing capacity into diesel and petrol.

In addition, Petrobras plans to increase by 146% the production capacity of diesel with renewable content (Diesel R), after obtaining permission from the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) to operate a new production unit for this fuel at REPAR.
