Osvaldo helped get Tagrisso to treat his lung cancer

Hello everyone, I’m Osvaldo and I wanted to share a little of my story with you. On 03/22/2023, my family and I began a difficult journey. I found out I had pleural effusion, which left me feeling short of breath and exhausted. I started treatment, and unfortunately, I had to take a leave of absence from my job. In addition, I underwent some procedures to remove excess fluid from my lungs, which was causing these problems. Even with treatment, it was still necessary to remove 2 to 3 liters of fluid from the lungs with each procedure. Doctors began to suspect it might be something more serious, so she underwent a series of tests. After much investigation, on 06/04/2023 we received very difficult news: I was diagnosed with lung cancer, and unfortunately it had already spread to the bones, and I began undergoing chemotherapy, but in July we received the results of the last biopsy, which showed a mutation (deletion in the exon 19) which requires specific treatment with a medicine called TAGRISSO – 80 mg, in tablet form. Each box costs R$37,900.00 and contains 30 pills. For this reason, we decided to start an online fundraising campaign, as we are unable to pay for the treatment. Chemotherapy is covered by insurance, but they have not approved me for this new medication that my doctor recommended. So we are trying to raise money while we try to resolve this situation with our plan, but we don’t know if we can do it or how long it might take. My doctor said my condition is serious and delicate, which is important to get this treatment as quickly as possible. She has made my tests, reports and prescriptions available to anyone who wants to see and understand more about my condition. I hope I can count on you for at least two packages of medication while we try to resolve the treatment approval issue. Thank you very much for your interest, and may God bless you and multiply you 10 times more in all your lives!
