Lord of the Rings | Amazon confirms season two with British footage

There is still little information about the first season of Lord of the rings, but everything is already underway to record more episodes. Amazon Studios announced on Thursday (12) that recordings for season two will take place in the UK, well expected information regarding the premiere of the first episodes on Prime Video. To get a sense of how far away we are from this debut, it’s worth remembering that production will only be seen starting September 2, 2022.

In an official statement, Amazon explained, “This move is in line with the studio’s strategy to expand its production brand and invest in studio spaces across the UK, where many of Amazon Studios’ best films and series are already being produced at Amazon Studios.”

The move is part of a widespread exodus that swept Hollywood amid the pandemic, when the United States faced the restrictions needed to prevent further pollution and continued to prevent studios from reopening. New Zealand and the United Kingdom, whose studios were already operating under strict sanitary controls, began receiving the superior products, which were experiencing losses and contractual problems.

In addition to the announcement, the studio promoted the reveal of the first image from the series:

With “black lines”, the released image highlights the aspect ratio (aspect ratio) of the string. Although technical details indicate that the episodes will arrive in standard widescreen (16:9), which is used in flat screens today, that’s not what the screenshot shows us. What we see in the still images is the use of the same format as the classic cinema trilogy, released in widescreen cinematic format (2.39:1).

Like the first season of Lord of the rings Filmed in New Zealand, we might see some landscapes similar to the Peter Jackson films. Now, the story goes back to its British infancy, akin to author J. R. R. Tolkien. Post-production for the first season will continue in New Zealand.
