Today, Friday (4/26), Cruzeiro launched the team's second jersey for the remainder of the 2024 season and the beginning of the 2025 season, signed by Adidas Sports.
The white uniform marks one of Belo Horizonte's main tourist attractions: the Church of São Francisco de Asis, known as Igreginha da Pampulha, located in Bairro Liberdade, Pampulha region. Founded in 1945, the sanctuary was designed by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer and has exterior panels of blue and white tiles, painted by the painter Candido Portinari.
The church's exterior tiles are the main inspiration for Cruzeiro's new shirt, which references the graphic on the sleeves and collar. The uniform features the five loose stars and Adidas branding at the top.

Cruzeiro posted a photo session in the new jersey in front of Igrejinha da Pampulha. In addition to the models, striker Bianca Brazil, midfielder Rebeca Costa and defender Vitoria Calhau appeared in uniform. No athlete from the men's team participated in the rehearsal.

The new shirt has already leaked
Cruzeiro's new uniform was leaked on social media on Thursday (4/25). However, there has yet to be any confirmation of the shirt's authenticity.
Before it was made official, images of Cruzeiro's home shirt this season, in blue, were also leaked ahead of its release in early March.
Cruzeiro and Adidas in 2024
In 2024, Cruzeiro and Adidas have already launched the blue uniforms for the game and training models for players and coaching staff. Now, a second jersey joins the collection.
Throughout the year, there is still the possibility of launching new shirts: in 2023, for example, the club launched four playing shirts. In addition to the main and reserve uniforms, a third uniform was also launched in August, in light blue, and a uniform in reference to Black Consciousness Month in Brazil, in November.
