After training with the U-23 national team, Gabriel Beck returns to Vasco to face Cruzeiro | Vasco

Gabriel Beck returned to Rio de Janeiro and trained there Vasco This Monday, with the aim of facing Cruzeiro, on Wednesday, at 7pm, in Mineirão. Vasco’s delegation travels to Belo Horizonte early Tuesday evening.

The striker has been with the Brazilian U-23 team in Sao Paulo since Monday of last week. Beck was called up for a training period at Joachim Grava’s Corinthians club, as the team prepares to participate in the Olympic Games that will be held next January in Venezuela.

In order to pit the player against Cruzeiro, Vasco reached an agreement with the Brazilian Federation, according to which Beck would be released from coaching the Olympic team. Beck returned to Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.

This was the first time that coach Ramon Menezes called on Gabriel Beck. The two worked together at Vasco in 2020. The club understands that Gabriel Beck’s call-up was due and has therefore not requested a call-up, but the direct clash against Cruzeiro is being treated as a priority.

In addition to Beck, Vasco Medel’s captain was called up to the Chilean national team, which will play on Tuesday. But the defender received the third yellow card last Thursday against Paraguay and missed the Chile match. With this, he expects his return to Rio and may face Cruzeiro.
