latin press – Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today that the meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Kiev did not achieve significant results. According to the spokeswoman, during this meeting, Hungary and Poland expressed several criticisms of the policy of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, which led to a lack of tangible progress in the so-called “storm of ideas” in the European Union.
Zakharova noted that European diplomats have not reached a consensus on the planned allocation of five billion euros in military aid to Ukraine in 2024. On October 2, an informal meeting of the Council of the European Union at the level of foreign ministers was held in Kiev. No practical decision was announced after the meeting attended by 23 of the 27 EU foreign ministers. Poland, Hungary, Latvia and Sweden were represented by lower-ranking diplomats.
