The exhibition “36 Steps to Infinity” is open for visiting at the ICBEU Art Gallery of Manaus

Simplicity, contrast, simple lines and shapes moving freely between time, space and perspective is what art lovers can peruse, starting Wednesday 24/08, in the unprecedented exhibition “36 Steps to Infinity” by plastic artist Lucas Anthony, open to visit at the ICBEU Art Gallery Manaus, located in the center of the Amazonian capital, until September 30, with free admission.

The show consists of 36 works created during the period when artist Lucas Anthony visited the United States, Mexico, Brazil, France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Monaco and Turkey, seeking inspiration from the limitless possibilities offered by living abroad. Luis Fabian Barbosa, President of ICBEU Manaus, notes that the works “impress with their richness of detail, uniqueness and aesthetic sensibility”.

Plastic artist Lucas Anthony says that holding the exhibition is an intense and unprecedented experience. “A selection of works that comprehensively reveal different periods. Two years of building works linked to a proposed dialogue between several aspects,” Lucas highlights.

In the paintings, lines, color contrast, texture, and font design were used to deal with details that could be everyday, with maximum abstraction so that the viewer could use his imagination and enjoy the works. “I believe that every experience is valid. With that, I encourage everyone around me to always try the new and never tire of exploring the unknown and its infinite possibilities. Thus, I try to extrapolate the matter, the visible, allowing my work to evoke sensations”, concludes the artist.

Lucas Pio Anthony of Manaus, pharmacist, polyglot, chef, pastry chef, barista, photographer, ceramist and multidisciplinary artist. Passionate about art and photography, he began recording his travels around the world in 2008, when he was living in Vancouver, Canada. The experience abroad, traveling through nine countries (USA, Mexico, Brazil, France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Monaco and Turkey) is reflected in the exhibition “36 Steps to Infinity”.
