About the project

  • The Revolution Wind project, developed by Eversource and Ørsted, will be the first large-scale offshore wind farm in the region;
  • It is located approximately 24.1 km/h south of the Rhode Island coast, 51.4 km/h southeast of the Connecticut coast, and 12 miles southwest of Martha’s Vineyard;
  • With a capacity of 704 MW, Revolution Wind will provide 400 MW of clean energy to Rhode Island and 304 MW to Connecticut;
  • This energy production can supply more than 350,000 homes in both states, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and the use of renewable sources.
