PS5 sales in the United Kingdom were up 42% in August

PlayStation 5 sales in the United Kingdom rose 42% in August, allowing the Sony console to remain at the top of the list of best-selling consoles in Her Majesty’s lands.

More than 135 thousand consoles were sold in August, and the PS5 was the main reason for this 22% increase in sales compared to July. In the first 8 months of 2023, PS5 sales increased by 60% over the same period in 2022.

Switch sales are down 5% in 2023 and 10% in 2023 compared to 2022, while Xbox Series is up 7% from July, but 23% below the result achieved in the first 8 months of 2022. They are in third place, but Starfield and Forza Motorsport will help boost sales in the crucial final stretch of the year.

In the list of best-selling physical and digital games, FIFA 23 was the best-selling game, followed by Armored Core 6, which managed to remain among the giants.

With GTA5 in third place, Red Dead Redemption 2 in fourth and Red Dead Redemption in fifth, Rockstar Games manages three of the top five best-selling games.
