On Saturday, the President concluded his working visit to the United Kingdom. During his stay in the country, Philipp Nyusi and his wife attended the coronation of King Carlos III.
The Head of State participated in the Commonwealth Heads of State meeting and held bilateral meetings.
The Mozambican politician was part of a small number of foreign, British and UK civil society dignitaries to attend the monarch’s solemn investiture, which has not happened in the UK for 70 years. In the balance of his visit to the United Kingdom, Philip Nyusi praised the unity, culture and identity of the British people.
“It was good to see the English people thronging the streets, squares and gardens of London with the coronation of the new king and the wealth of wealth. It represents the unity, culture and identity of the people. “We propose strengthening diplomatic relations between Mozambique, the United Kingdom and Commonwealth member states,” Nyusi said.
Nyusi described the visit as useful as it allowed for diplomatic meetings without much formality.
At the Commonwealth Heads of State meeting, On Friday, the Head of State reiterated that self-employment is one of the effective solutions in the Mozambican context.
