It took Manchester City five minutes to defeat Chelsea in the third round of the League Cup. City even saved some of their holders, as they beat the Blues 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium and qualified for the round of 16 of the competition.
After cutting off the first half, in which the goalkeepers outperformed the attackers, Pep Guardiola’s men scored in the eighth and thirteenth minutes of the last stage, with Mahrez and Alvarez, respectively, to ensure the victory.
