Viotti, who worked at the United Nations and was ambassador to Germany, was moved to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs in Lula’s government, but the position remained with the current chancellor, Mauro Vieira.

Appointed to take charge of the embassy in the United Kingdom, Patriota served as Dilma Rousseff’s first foreign minister, between 2011 and 2013.

Bolsonaro even nominated Carvalho Neto to head the embassy in France, but Lula modified the selection. Now, he’s set up in Egypt, while Lula has picked Ricardo Tavares for the post in France.
