Kanye West will have to pay $1 billion to use the White Lives Matter brand

Kanye West will have to pay at least $1 billion if he is really willing to buy the White Lives Matter brand. The phrase, which means “white lives matter” in Portuguese, was recently used by the rapper and entrepreneur on his Yeezy brand T-shirts, in reference to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The brand belongs to two black broadcasters, Ramses Jha and Quinton Ward. According to TMZ, they have no intention of selling the rights to the ferry — but if any potential buyers are interested, they will have to offer at least $1 billion for them to consider the offer.

JA considers that the most important thing is to help organizations that help with the rights of the black population. Therefore, this value will make them reconsider the sale, as these institutions can use it.

Meanwhile, West presented the shirts at Paris Fashion Week in October, but he can’t sell them in the US because he doesn’t have the rights to the phrase.

As reported by TMZ, the trademark was purchased by the listener of the radio show Ja and Ward, who gave them the rights to the trademark. In doing so, anyone who wants to sell products with this phrase can be prosecuted.

West lost R$10 billion in just one day after his recent anti-Semitic statements. Additionally, Ja claims that the rapper didn’t get in touch to talk about the brand.
