GDF and Sesc provide venues for mammography and cytopathological testing in a series of actions against cancer

a Women’s Secretariat of the Federal Districtin partnership with Social Service for Commerce (Sesc), and opened 100 places for mammography and 130 places for pathological cytological tests, which reveal breast and cervical cancer, respectively. The initiative integrates a series of actions related to Pink October.

The SESC truck will be parked at Casa da Mulher Brasileira, in Ceilândia, until Wednesday (6/10), and in Planaltina Department, from October 26 to 29.

SEM’s schedule and other DF volumes during Pink October include activities to encourage self-examination—which can help detect cancer—and services to facilitate patient access to testing and treatment.

There will be a mobile service in the mobile unit and awareness lectures. The Women’s Bus will visit various points in DF, and the Women’s Secretariat team, in partnership with the Health Secretariat, will provide guidance to women about breast self-examination.

The program also contains panel discussions and lectures on promoting women’s health, in addition to scheduling preventive examinations, such as mammograms by the public network.
