WhatsApp provides a way for users to block their contacts, effectively blocking them from any medium of communication.
Blocking a contact is simple. On WhatsApp, just open the conversation with the person you want to block, tap on Options (usually represented by three vertical dots in the upper right corner), select More and then choose Block. You can also access WhatsApp settings, select “Account”, then “Privacy” and finally “Blocked” to manage your blocked contacts.
It is important to remember that blocking is a reversible procedure. You can unblock a contact at any time by following the same steps.
But how do you know if a contact has blocked you?
An indication that you have been blocked is the inability to make calls or send messages to the recipient. Even if the message is sent, the double dashes will not be shown in the content if the other person has blocked you.
In addition, another way to find out if you have been blocked is when you cannot see the profile picture of your contact, in addition to not knowing if he is currently online or when he was active on WhatsApp.
