Cruzeiro lineup: Larcamón rescues key players in his first appearance in the South American Championship

In the midst of the Mineiro final, Cruzeiro will have a substitute team in its first ever Copa Sudamericana appearance. To face Universidad Católica, at the Olímpico Atahualpa, in Quito, coach Nicolas Larcamon will make changes in all sectors of the pitch. The ball will turn on Thursday (4), at 9pm (Brasilia time).

Regarding The team that tied against AtleticoLast Saturday (30), in Belo Horizonte, Cruzeiro will not have Joao Marcelo and Marlon in defence. The Argentine coach preferred to cancel the formation with three defenders and let Villalba occupy the left wing position. Neres and Ze Evaldo form the defensive duo.

In midfield, Larcamon chose to select Jose Cifuentes, Mateus Vital and Ramiro among the new players. Against Atletico, the match was started by the namesake Lucas Silva and Lucas Romero, as well as Matheus Pereira. All three will start this Thursday (4) on the bench. Machado was the only midfielder left among the regulars.

In attack, Barreal and Rafael Elias enter positions Arthur Gomez and Denino, who didn't even travel to Ecuador. The pair showed “great physical fatigue” after the first match of the Mineiro final and were kept by the technical committee.
