Entenda de uma vez por todas as diferenças entre o Pix Saque e o Pix Troco

Understand definitively the differences between Pix Saque and Pix Exchange

Pix, the payment method launched by the Central Bank in 2020, quickly gained millions of subscribers in the country. Today, a significant part of the population is already using this method to make payments and transfers, and there is no indication that this scenario will change. Proof of this is the new Pix formats that citizens can take advantage of.

In this sense, we are talking about the Pix Saque and the Pix Troco, both of which were launched at the end of 2021. Unlike the regular Pix, the other two methods did not get the stickiness that was expected. One of the reasons this happens is that many people may not know the difference between them.

Pix Loot and Pix Exchange

Pix is already a payment method that can rival physical cash and credit card use. With the new formats of Pix, one can expect, soon, that the competition with the card will become more fierce.

According to the current head of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, although the two new instruments connected in this way have not gained the strength that was expected, they both have positive properties that can even favor people living in the countryside.

According to the available data, when comparing the two models, Pix Saque has the best number of operations: there are more than 260 million. On the other hand, Pix Exchange did not reach 1 million. This means that the former represents practically 99% of the total usage.

What are the differences?

Generally, Pix Saque gives the person permission to be able to withdraw funds at any point of sale. Its use is simple: it is only necessary for the citizen to go to a commercial point that accepts this method. You should say that you want to withdraw an amount using the Pix Withdraw method.

Once this is done, the same merchant can generate a QR code, which the customer must use to deposit funds. Once the deposit is made, the customer receives the physical amount equivalent to the amount he sent.

On the other hand, Pix Troco, although it works similarly, can only be used when making a purchase at the respective trading point. Thus, a customer can, for example, pay for the purchase with physical money but request that the change, if any, be sent via Pix.

In this way, it is essential that the merchant at the point of sale is able to use the methods.
