The semi-finals will be on Wednesday and the chance of Santos playing in Sao Paulo increases

The Sao Paulo Football Federation (FPF) will hold a Technical Council with the semi-finalist clubs from Paulistão on the morning of Wednesday the 20th, to determine the details of dates, times and locations for the next stage of the competition. The chance of Santos hosting Red Bull Bragatino at the New Quimica Arena, on the 28th, has increased in the last few hours.

The schedule for the semi-final matches of the Paulistao Championship was scheduled to be determined today, Wednesday, after the publication of the schedule for the Copa Libertadores and Sol Americana matches, which were drawn last Monday, the eighteenth of the first round of the group stage of the continental championship. The competitions will be held between April 2 and 4 in Paulistau.

Palmeiras, which will face Novorizontino in the semi-finals, and Red Bull Bragantino, which will face Santos, are the two clubs that participated in the CONMEBOL competitions. Therefore, if one of them plays on the second day, the first final should be played on Saturday the 30th, given the possibility that one of them will be in the decision. In this case, it will not be possible to hold one of the semi-final matches on the 28th due to the lack of a minimum interval between two matches of the same club.

However, Diario found that the Sao Paulo Federation asked CONMEBOL for Palmeiras and Red Bull Bragantino not to participate on Tuesday (2nd), and the South American entity respected the wish. Therefore, there will be a possibility of a Paulistão semi-final on the 27th and another on the 28th. The Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana schedules will be released on Tuesday.
