With recognition at the International Science and Technology Fair (Mostratec) 2021, the authors of three projects developed in schools in the Municipal Education Network of Campo Bom received their prizes.

The handover was made on Wednesday and Thursday, 30 and 31, by the Minister of Education and Culture of Campo Bom (Thick). Because of the pandemic, the event was virtual, in October last year, and now the award has been sent to Smec. Nine projects from the Campo Bom Municipal Network participated in Mostratec, which is the largest science and technology fair in Latin America. This alone was a source of pride, but we managed to rank three projects among the best. This fills us with joy and shows that the investments are resolute,” says Mayor Luciano Orsi.

Project “Operation: Safety is at stake! The virus is not in this game!”, written by students Arthur Gabriel Longo da Cruz, João Vitor Rafael Gómez de Freitas, and Larissa Eduarda Flores, with tutor Samila Beatriz Webber and co-adviser Jennifer Caroline Luz, was first place in Class 1.

Why do our bodies grow? , by Emef 25 de Julho, developed by students Bernardo Saft and Isabella Albrecht Carvalho, under the guidance of teacher Tatiana Raquel Petry Schunck, won third place in Class 1.

The “De Olho no Óleo” project, designed by Emef Presidente Vargas and created by students Bianca Nathalí dos Santos, Myllene Ketlen Jardim de Moura and Yago Gabriel Facioni, under the guidance of teacher Marcia Teixeira Rodrigues, took third place in category 2.

The excellent performance of our students’ work at Mostratec demonstrates the quality of teaching at Campo Bom. The nine projects sent to the exhibition came from the seventh exhibition of the Science and Technology Week in Campo Bom,” explains Education and Culture Minister Simon Schneider.

In 2021, Mostratec, which targets early childhood, primary, secondary and technical education students from across the country and abroad, has been involved in more than 750 research projects. The exhibition is promoted annually by Fundação Escola Técnica Liberato Salzano Vieira da Cunha, of Novo Hamburgo.
