The book’s publisher said on Tuesday that British Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare Parts” is the fastest-selling non-fiction work in the history of the United Kingdom, with 400,000 copies sold so far in print, electronic and audio formats.

“We always knew this book would fly, but it exceeds even our most optimistic expectations,” Larry Finley, managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House, said in a statement.

“As far as we know, the only books that have had greater first-day sales are those starring another Harry (Potter),” Finley said, referring to author JK Rowling’s epic children’s books.

The publisher said the data is based on book sales in the United Kingdom.

Harry’s book, whose Spanish edition accidentally went on sale earlier than planned, officially became available on Tuesday, as eager readers flocked to bookstores to get their copy of a book containing intimate revelations about the British royal family.

The work attracted attention around the world after Harry’s accusations against his father, King Charles, his stepmother, Camilla, and his older brother, Prince William, first in line to the British throne, were revealed.
