Physical activity helps improve concentration levels, research says – 11/03/2022

According to a study conducted by the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom, it indicated that people who do physical activity have higher concentration levels than those who do not exercise. According to the survey, 21% of people who introduced sports into their routine reported improved concentration; 25% reported an improvement in their professional performance and 41% reported being more motivated.

In some professions, low concentration levels can create impacts on professional performance. For musicians, for example, when creating a song, this process can be affected. That’s what happened to Sergej musician Robert Rodriguez, who managed to change this situation when he took up boxing after suffering from attention deficit disorder due to lack of physical activity.

“I was having trouble composing my songs. I was rehearsing in the studio and things just didn’t seem to be flowing. I realized my mental health was suffering. Everything changed when I started boxing”, he declared.

According to him, after the start of the classes, his professional performance and interpretations of songs improved and he was able to respect his duties better.

“I am a different person, the rhythm of my voice seems to be still in tune. I am fulfilling my duties and still have time to practice,” said the musician.

According to Robert, it was one of the best things he ever did to improve his career. Physical activity improved their performance and contributed to a healthy life.

“It’s definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done. Besides helping me as a musician, it’s also helped me improve my health. I used to stay in the studio for hours, eat junk all the time, and now I’m more. I’m focused on taking care of my body,” he added.
