Lzaro ignores the rotation imposed by the VP on the Corinthians and explains his point of view on the matter

Coach Fernando Lazaro does not intend to maintain the rotation of players implemented by Vitor Pereira last year. In his first press conference in office, the captain made it clear that, based on the previous references he had at Corinthians, he did not intend to keep changing teams constantly during the season.

“I’m used to my reviewers, who weren’t in that line (rotation). That’s what I think about team rotation,” Lázaro began, already hinting at what he’s planning for his debut season as the official owner of the publication.

“Of course, there are different moments and we have to know how to assess that on how to do that. In moments of greater tension, greater backlog of decisions, that’s another factor,” continued the current leader, who was an aide to VP.

In previous work, the Portuguese specified that it is practically impossible for a team to repeat from one match to another in three days, whether due to momentary fatigue or due to the accumulation of wear and tear during the season. The conclusion came when he saw that the team could not perform physically in the final stage of the Paulista.

Since then, Corinthians have been practically one in one competition and another in the next, whether they be the Libertadores, the Brazilian or the Copa do Brasil, seeking to keep the most experienced. Fabio Santos, for example, always exchanged matches with Lucas Bitton or Bruno Melo.

“I understand that it’s a much more individual decision, on the part of an athlete, the recovery is different, the possibility of using each one or not, in the next game, analyzing it case by case, game by game, but don’t start from a radical idea to change it always.”
