Elton John’s last US show will be broadcast live on Disney+

47 years ago, in November 1975, the legendary performance Elton John at Dodger Stadium consolidated global success. To complete the cycle, the famous singer returns to the same stadium to honor the public with his last concert in America: Elton John Live: The Farewell Show, broadcast live on Disney+ this Sunday, 20, 23: 30 .

The live stream gives fans around the world a front-row seat to appreciate the artist’s talent in a tribute to his legendary career. The show features Dua Lipa, Kiki Dee and Brandi Carlyle.

“Feeling the energy of the great fans again at Dodger Stadium, but this time from all over the world, watching live from their homes, will be something very special to me,” commented Elton John. “I’m excited to celebrate this special night around the world. I hope everyone feels the power and joy of performing on an iconic stage like Dodger Stadium, just like I did nearly 50 years ago.”

Elton John’s final American performance, broadcast live on Disney+, features the original Disney documentary Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The Final Elton John Performances and the Years That Made His Legend.

Directors R.J. Produced by Cutler and David Furnish, the film is about the singer and will feature never-before-seen footage of rehearsals and concerts spanning the past 50 years, personal documents and exclusive interviews.

The film chronicles his last months of touring from 1970 to 1975, when he released 10 albums, seven of which hit #1 on the Billboard charts, and became a worldwide phenomenon. The documentary will premiere at international festivals before being available on Disney+ in 2023.
