Corinthians confirms Cuca’s squad for the first time against Gois. See starting lineup

Corinthians confirmed 11 starters who were selected by Cuca on his debut. Alvinegra faces Goiás, away from home, in a match valid for the second round of the Brazilian Championship. The ball is rolling at 7 p.m., at the Helio Pinheiro Stadium, in Goiânia.

The duel marks Coca’s first appearance in command of Timao. For the duel, the coach retained the home base of the team left by Fernando Lázaro and upgraded with occasional line-up changes.

The starting lineup chosen by the coach was: Cassio, Bruno Mendes, Balbuena, Gil and Fabio Santos; Fausto Vera, Doquerose and Giuliano; Cristian Barletta, Yuri Alberto and Roger Geddes.

On the bench are: Carlos Miguel, Maicon, Romero, Paulinho, Junior Moraes, Mateus Pedo, Cantillo, Pedro, Adson, Rooney, Mateus Araujo, Murillo.

Goiás, in turn, is set to be: Tadeu; Maguino, Lucas Halter, Z Ricciardo, Sander, Vinicius, Palacios, Matheus Peixotto, Bruno Melo, Dieguino and Morelli. The coach is Emerson Avila.

It is worth noting that the coach does not suffer from injuries to Renato Augusto, Wagner, Caetano, Gustavo Silva, Ruan Oliveira and Rafael Ramos. In addition to these, Guilherme Biro and Giovane are at the service of the Brazilian U-20 national team in friendly matches in Spain.

Corinthians arrived under the pressure of confrontation, after a tumultuous week, with a home defeat against Libertadores and a change of coach. Timão won the first round from Brazil and is now looking for the three points to gain confidence, to try to qualify for the Brazil Cup on Wednesday, and he had to reverse two goals on Remo.
