Researchers at Linkoping University in Sweden conducted a pilot experiment with 20 people with corneal problems. The results were promising, as 14 blind patients regained their sight completely, which drew attention when the information began to be published in the major scientific catalogs in the world.

According to the documents made available by the Swedish University itself, the implants used in the study are made of bioengineering material from the collagen protein found in pig skin, and have been monitored by scientists who have verified the possibility of using the material for tests.
