AES Brasil (AESB3) released its results for the first quarter of 2023 (1Q23) on Thursday night, the fourth .1Q22.

In adjusted terms, the profit was R$67.7 million, down 14.7% on a year-over-year basis.

Adjusted Ebitda was R$409.3 million, up 30.6% compared to Q1 2022.

AES Brasil signs an agreement

AES Brasil announced on Thursday, the 4th, that it has signed an Energy Purchase and Sale Agreement with a counterparty with an excellent credit profile, for the supply of renewable energy for a period of 15 years, and delivery from July 2024. The wind farm is under development at the Cajuína Wind Complex, in the Rio Grande do Norte, the area where the AES Brasil group is currently under construction.

The project, which has a wind generating capacity of 153.9 megawatts, has been fully contracted on investment and financing.

As a result of this agreement, AES Brasil has announced an expected investment of R$3.35 billion by 2027.
