In a TV interview, a doctor who noticed a new variant in South Africa explained the difference in symptoms between Micron and earlier versions.

The president of the South African Medical Association was the first to identify cases of the variant in the country and alert the government-linked advisory committee to the possible spread of a new variant.
The warning sign of the emergence of a new strain of the virus came when a doctor noticed a significant increase in patients aged 40 or younger in clinics, with symptoms different from the usual ones.
