Decree of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) No. 4744, published in the Official Gazette of the Union last Wednesday, 14, authorized a public competition to fill 55 vacant positions in the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), 34 of which are for researchers and 21 for technicians.
The positions will be allocated to three research units within the department: 7 vacancies for the National Institute of Pantanal Research (INPP); 19 for the National Semi-Arid Institute (INSA); and 29 for the Museu Paraense Emilio Goeldi (MPEG).
The 55 positions are part of the law that allowed 814 vacancies for MCTI in April 2023. However, due to the missed deadline for opening competition notices, it was necessary to obtain a new license. The next steps are the selection of regulatory boards and the publication of notices by each institution. Of the 814 vacancies in MCTI, 296 are part of the unified national public competition.
The aim of filling the vacancies is to renew and restructure the technical staff of the Ministry and its research units, ensuring the continuity of services and research conducted in these institutions. The last MCTI public competition was held in 2012.
