Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), along with civil police in nine Brazilian states, on Thursday, the eighth, the third phase of Operation 404, which fights digital piracy and with it the SuperFlix website and more than 300 others have been removed from the Internet
In all, 334 websites and 94 illegal content transmission apps have been blocked. In addition, profiles on social networks and Internet search engines on these platforms have been removed from the web.
Among the sites that have been removed is SuperFlix, which is a very popular platform among Internet users, used to watch movies and series for free.
On Twitter, the platform’s name, “SuperFlix,” became one of the most talked about on Thursday, as the site was so popular.
Civilian police officers served 11 search and seizure warrants in the states: Espírito Santo, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Pernambuco, Rondonia, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo.
The operation was carried out in cooperation with the US Embassies – Homeland Security Investigations, the Department of Justice, as well as the UK Embassy in Brazil – the Intellectual Property Office and the PPCU.
The process name (404) indicates the HTTP response code to indicate that the web page was not found or unavailable.
