German authorities are investigating a 61-year-old man who is reported to have received at least 87 doses of Covid-19 vaccines in recent months. According to local newspapers, on some occasions he received three injections per day.
This is not a citizen overly concerned about health, but a potential member of a scheme to sell vaccination certificates, according to the state news company. Deutsche Welle.
His visits to fortification centers were frequent in the eastern states of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, until one day a staff member at one of these sites suspected that he had already seen him several times.
He informed the police, and when the person returned he was taken into custody for questioning.
It is not clear how the old man managed to circumvent the vaccination control system, but the German press is talking about loopholes that allowed this type of fraud.
Now, investigations will try to find out the man’s potential clients and the total number of vaccinations he has taken, as there are indications that the number is higher than 87.
Buyers of vaccination passports are thought to be people against vaccination, but they don’t want to be tied down because they don’t have the documents.
The state of Saxony, according to the Deutsche WelleOnly 64.5% of the population has been fully vaccinated, a level below the national average, which is 75%.
