A message from Trish Priewe –
Five years ago, I went through surgery and chemotherapy treatments for ovarian cancer;
I was lucky – my diagnosis was made early, when the cancer is easier to treat and even cure.
But I was in the minority: 75% of ovarian cancer isn’t diagnosed until it has advanced to Stage III or IV. While we used to say ovarian cancer was a “silent killer,” today we know there are symptoms – but women and their medical providers need to be tuned into its subtle whispers.

Difficulty eating or feeling full sooner • Changes in urination or bowels
Bloating • Pelvic or abdominal pain
Persistent or increased changes or symptoms
