Lodi’s Varsity Mock Trial Team is one of two teams advancing to Finals from State Semifinals Competition yesterday. The winner will compete at Nationals in Philadelphia later this spring. Wisconsin High School Mock Trial is sponsored by the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Lodi has been competing in Mock Trial competitions since the 2004-05 school year under teacher coach Janel Anderson. She has been assisted the past three years by teacher Brenda Autz.

The case involves medical malpractise, mental health issues,murder/suicide and the prescription drug Prozac.

Lodi’s varsity Mock Trial team is composed of seniors Janelle Krummen, Shea Love, Jacob Steiner, Lee Swartz, Andrew Bulovsky and juniors Holly Hargis and Phoebe Mogharei. The team will be interviewed this morning [10 am?] at the high school by Wisconsin Eye and the competition at the Supreme Court will be filmed by Wisconsin Eye and available for video streaming at their website.

The Lodi Mock Trial teams are also coached by local attorneys Paul Johnson and Jeff Mayer.
