With the temps breaking 70 degrees this past Saturday, Lodi blooms. Lodi Valley Farmer’s Market volunteers spruce up the market barn in time for opening on Friday April 24th. Girls scouts pull out all the stops to close that cookie sale. A perfect day to enjoy a bowl of ice cream at the Downtown Coffee Grounds. Music booster Ken Paul and crew grill up brats prior to the evening performance of the U.S. Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants concert at Lodi High School. Singing Sergeant Seaton and mom Allison share a moment before the concert. Daffodils are approaching peak bloom all over town.

The Lodi community is fortunate to have the Bohlman Daffodil fund organizing the planting of the beautiful daffodils all over the Lodi Valley. Last week, a film crew from Wisconsin Public Television’s Wisconsin Gardener with Shelly Ryan traveled to Lodi to capture the daffodils in their springtime glory! Shelly intends to put together the story of Lodi’s community daffodil gardeneing effort that will become a segment on her program next spring. Keep watching the LodiValleyNews.com for updates on when the Wisconsin Gardener will run this piece on Lodi’s Daffodil days!
