Pesky, aggressive yellow jackets, like this one, will soon be hatching,

The ground bees (yellow jackets) are hatching their major brood of young and they are very aggressive. Numerous stings are being reported. There are several things you need to do. If you are allergic to bee stings be prepared for treating them immediately. If you are not allergic to them make sure you have a good supply of baking soda. If stung, make a thick water/baking soda poultice and put it on the stings as soon as you can get it on. It should draw the sting venom from the sting area.

Second, if everyone will place a yellow jacket trap out we may be able to reduce the number of yellow jackets. The least expensive trap I know of is a pie plate: place 3-5 drops of Dawn dish soap in the plate and then fill the pan 2/3 with Mountain Dew soda. Place the trap in the sun away from people and pets. I place mine on the deck railing.
