The audience was moved by Elton John’s last show, in the United Kingdom, during the Glastonbury Festival, on Sunday evening (25).
Celebrities such as Lewis Hamilton and actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Anya Taylor-Joy, as well as the singer’s husband David Furnish, were among the performers who watched the show up close.
One of the most touching moments of Elton’s show was a tribute to singer George Michael, who died in 2016 at the age of 53. The artist would be 60 years old if he were alive.
“This is a very special day today, I wondered how I was going to handle it. George Michael was one of Britain’s finest singer-songwriters. He was my friend and an inspiration and today he was… He will be 60 years old, so I want to dedicate this song to his memory.”
