In addition to Azzolina fans, Clube do Remo has received a special boost in the battle to return to the second division of the Brazilian championship, and positive thoughts are coming from the south-eastern region of the country.
This is thanks to Volta Redonda’s victory over Botafogo BP 2-1, Saturday (28), at Estadio Raulino de Oliveira, in a match held within the penultimate round of the quadrangle of the Brazilian Championship Series C 2024.
Paraíba took the lead with Joe’s goal in the 20th minute, but Bello took the turn with goals from MV and Clinton, giving the home team victory.
Thus, Volta Redonda reaches nine points and hopes to achieve a close victory over Sao Bernardo, Sunday (29), to advance Leao and Voltaco to the Brazilian second division, one round apart.

The result forces Sao Bernardo to play the match, as only victory is important, as a draw is not a good result for the Sao Paulo club, even though it will face the Rio de Janeiro team in the last round, at home.
Botafogo PB are out of the competition for access and will remain in the third division for another year, with Paraíba still playing Remo in João Pessoa (PB) in the final round.
Remo x São Bernardo-SP play tomorrow at 4:30pm, at Mangueirão Stadium in Belem.
