Along with Lionel Messi, Inter Miami announced the Argentine’s former Barcelona partner Sergio Busquets this Sunday (16). Soon after, MLS (Major League Soccer), the soccer league in the United States, announced who the player was, however, with a twist: the published photo was of former player Alvaro Arbeloa and not Busquets.
The post quickly went viral on social media, but was removed by MLS. By releasing the perfect photo, the American League mocked the situation. “Why Arbeloa and Busquets are so similar [nessas fotos]. Admin needs new glasses,” he wrote.
Sergio, like Barcelona partner Lionel Messi, has signed a contract with Inter Miami until 2025. He was presented with the Star Player during an event this Sunday (16).
Arbeloa and Busquets played in Spain, but for rival teams: Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. Both were teammates in the 2010 World Cup champion Spain national team.
Messi’s presentation
Argentina’s Lionel Messi has finally been introduced as Inter Miami’s new player. This Sunday (16), thousands of fans of the American club welcomed the star at the DRV Stadium in Miami, where he will play until 2025.
In addition to the star, some of the club’s directors and another world football star were in attendance: David Beckham, a former English player who is one of Inter’s owners.
