US President Joe Biden, facing pressure in his re-election campaign, announced on Friday the 5th that he will stay in the race during a campaign rally in Wisconsin.

In front of about 300 supporters at a high school, Biden again acknowledged his poor debate last week, admitting, “I can’t say it was my best performance,” but amid speculation about what he would do, he had an answer: “I’m running, I’m running again. I’m going to win.

“I beat Donald Trump,” Biden enthused, as the crowd cheered and waved campaign signs. “I’ll hit him again.”

The rally preceded an interview for Biden, who is under pressure to drop out of the campaign after his disastrous debate performance against Republican Donald Trump raised concerns that the 81-year-old Democrat was unprepared for the situation.

The interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, taped after a campaign rally in Madison, Wisconsin, is expected to be intense, and two people familiar with the president’s efforts say he is actively preparing. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal planning.
