Ukrainian volunteer shoots after taking dog food to a shelter

young woman Anastasia YalanskayaThe 26-year-old and two other Ukrainians were killed Thursday while delivering food to a dog shelter in Bucha, 29 kilometers from Kyiv, Ukraine. According to Anastasia’s family, the three were in a car returning from the shelter when “heavy weapons” men shot them at point blank range.

Relatives of the Russian forces are accused of killing civilians indiscriminately to weaken the Ukrainian resistance and terrorize the innocent. However, the Kremlin claims that it only attacks military targets in the attack.

According to the New York Post, Anastasia’s car was found with bullet holes in it not far from her home. The young woman’s body is still in a mortuary in Posha, but because of the fighting in the area, no one can get there.

“She was one of the best humans I have known. She was committed to helping and helping her friends, relatives and anyone who needed help. She loved animals. We had a dog and a cat. She was my best partner ever.”
