O voo durou por apenas oito minutos e atingiu uma altitude máxima de pouco mais de mil metros

The world’s first electric plane flies for the first time in the United States

The world’s first all-electric passenger plane took its maiden flight on Tuesday the 27th.

The prototype took off from the Grand County International Airport in Washington, USA. The flight lasted just eight minutes and reached a maximum altitude of about 1,000 meters, with few maneuvers during the airborne period.

“This is history,” said President and CEO Gregory Davis discharge, Israeli aircraft manufacturer. “We haven’t seen propulsion technology change in aircraft since we switched from piston engines to turbine engines in 1950.”

With battery technology similar to an electric car or cell phone, a 30-minute charge will allow Alice — as it’s dubbed — to fly for an hour with nine passengers.

This aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 530 kilometers per hour. For reference, the Boeing 737 has a maximum cruising speed of 1,000 kilometers per hour.

The company hopes to use the information gathered during Tuesday’s flight to review next steps and deliver flights to customers by 2027.

“In fact, we create, obviously, Terabytes The data with the data acquisition systems we had on the aircraft, so we’ll take a couple of weeks to review them to see how the aircraft performs against our models and our analyses,” Davis said.
